The story picks up about a year after Journey to Rooted Bastion enclosed with Beethro arriving at the waiting Rooted and explore mysterious underground city of the Empire in search of his lost nephew, Halph. Soon Beethro discovers a sinister plot for all persons above to find and convince Halph to return home becomes him a second priority. It is Beethro to thwart the plans of the Empire and discovering its best kept secrets.
