Universe at War : Earth Assault is set in a near future when multiple factions from across the galaxy have come to Earth to lead an epic war . Deadly weapons and foreign fiction science powers allow players to destroy cities and other territory while fighting for Earth. The game also allows players to retrain and customize units in the midst of battle , modify their weapons and defenses in real time, and even control the development of technology that will help them to victory. The first mode in Universe at War : Earth Assault is solo mode. These are games which are played exclusively by a human player against the AI-controlled opponents. This mode contains the campaign and the types of games scenarios. In the campaign , the player controls one of the four factions , as part of the campaign is played, and played through various battles to achieve predetermined objectives progress on the script , and finally "beat" the game .
