The game starts with the last episode of the third season, where Vic kills Margos Dezerian. Officials want the team reassigned, the team members are not satisfied with how things are going and Captain Aceveda told it will take a major bust to save any hope of keeping the team in life. The big bust in question turns out to be an arms race between the Byz-Lat and One-Niner gangs. Mackey is responsible for breaking the battle to find the weapons and arrest as many thugs as possible load.
