Like previous games in the series , Global Offensive is a set of objective -based shooter multiplayer first-person . Each player joins the team is terrorist or anti- terrorist and attempts to fulfill the objectives or eliminate the opposing team. The game runs in short cycles that end when all players on one side are dead or objective is completed. Once a player dies , they must wait until the game ends to reappear in most game modes . Players buy weapons and equipment at the beginning of each round with the money allocated based on their performance. Completing objectives or killing enemies player earns money while negative actions, such as the murder of a teammate or taken hostage, takes money player . In addition, when a game ends all players receive a certain sum of money , the players of the winning team gets a lot more .
