In Chaos Legion , players control not only their main hero , but the legions he is able to summon . The game is described as a savage gothic opera played over 13 levels with beautifully rendered 3D environments and combines RPG elements with classic action to tell its story . The gameplay is primarily action-oriented . Numerous enemies attack the player in waves, and progress to the next part of the stage often requires defeat of all enemies in the area. The main feature that gives originality to the series is the addition of Chaos Legion , which are supernatural creatures that fight alongside the player . While legions are summoned , Sieg Wahrheit ( the player character ) is unable to perform melee attacks and weaker . Legions can be controlled to some extent : their tactics can be switched between offensive and defensive , and players can give orders for them to attack immediately.
