The events of Call of Pripyat unfold shortly after the end of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. Chernobyl site of the most devastating nuclear accident. Decades later, unstable and inexplicable objects with evil powers are found in the area. STALKER Call of Pripyat Ultimate takes place in and around the city of Pripyat, Ukraine. The area is divided into three parts called Zaton, Yanov, and the city of Pripyat itself. Each is a large playable area. The player must travel through the area and to investigate the crash site. As the player progresses, he begins to learn how helicopters were shot. The climax of the story begins when the player reaches Pripyat to find survivors of helicopter accidents.
